Blessed of God
being a leper
i'm shunned and hated,
disfigured and rotting, i weep.
banned from society,
my wife and my son,
no hope of acceptance for me.
but, i've heard of this Jesus,
if only He could...
but, no, He'd not want to touch me.
yet when Jesus came
He saw, and He cried
with compassion for what He had seen.
gently He touched my arm and my face,
and softly He said,
"Be thou clean."
a harlot i am
wracked with sin and disgrace,
not a soul could ever love me.
they denounce and condemn,
and spit out my name,
but in darkness i give what they seek.
one Man with kind eyes
spoke forgiveness and love,
His presence felt Godly to me.
"Jesus?" i whispered,
He nodded His head
and i fell, ashamed, at His feet.
He tenderly lifted my face
with His hand,
"Thy sins are forgiven thee."
He died on the cross
being mocked and denied,
He suffered the pain and abuse.
yet mankind He still loved,
and He pleaded with God,
"Forgive them, they know not what they
do."
now Jesus is risen!
so we'll live again,
and Eternal Salvation we'll see.
He taught if we listen
and live by His words,
"My grace is sufficient for thee."
Snowflake Daughters
We are intricacy
Resting on a gentle hand,
Closely observed.
We are divinely detailed,
Universally unique.
Refined by windy-cold trials,
Qualified by toiling for perfection.
We are individually miraculous,
Collectively brilliant!
Adorning the world
With sparkling purity,
As a testament of God's great hand.
