My Beautiful Daughter

My beautiful daughter;
I am filled with pride this special day,
How your decision makes me feel,
Words cannot say.

I cried the day you left my presence,
And into the world were born.
I worried about you coming to Earth,
So often lonely, cruel, and forlorn.

I smiled the day
You were given a blessing and a name.
I sent you to a goodly family,
Who knew their earthly purpose and would teach you the same.

On the day of your baptism,
I was overwhelmed with pride.
Did you feel my hugs and my kisses?
I was standing right by your side.

I sent to you teachers and friends,
Who knew just what to say,
Who knew how to lead and to guide you,
And could help you find your way.

I understand
Your sorrow, your worries, your fears.
I've felt your disappointments and pain.
I've heard your cries and cried your tears.

And now today, I cry again;
This time with joy, this time with love.
As you enter the temple, I look on with pride.
I love you dear daughter,

                                                                      Your Father Above

He Is

He is our Savior.

He is our Lord.

Our love in times of peace;

In times of war, our sword.

He is all that is sacred.

He is all that is pure.

He hears our thanks when we're pleased;

Our prayers, when we're unsure.

He is our light in the darkness.

He is our brother and our friend.

He gives us mercy when we're guilty,

And love without end.

He is our salvation.

He is our reason for life.

He is eternal perfection,

Our Lord, Our Master, Jesus Christ.

My Husband

How do I express my love,
To the man who gives me everything?
It's about more than a new name,
A slip of paper or a diamond ring.

It's about love and support
Through all the good times and the bad.
It's about a shoulder to catch my tears,
And two arms to hold and calm me when I'm mad.

It's about two lips to kiss,
When my day goes wrong and I need to feel love.
It's about my best friend, my soulmate,
Whose personality fits mine like a glove.

It's having an eternal companion,
Whose teachings and values match my own.
Someone who makes me a better person,
Who gives me a family and a place to call home.

It's having a wonderful father,
To teach and raise my children.
To help my girls grow up to be ladies,
And my boys grow up to be men.

It's having a strong body,
To lay next to at night.
Someone who loves me unconditionally,
Even when I cause an argument or fight.

Dear Husband, you give me all this and more.
I love you deeper every day.
We were meant for each other,
And I wouldn't have it any other way.

The love I feel for you,
The best poet couldn't express, words cannot say.
I love you more with every single breath,
Every second, every minute, every hour of every day.

                                                                Love,
                                                                     Your Wife

His Love and Mercy

How can anyone explain,
The way His love feels.
Something that can't be seen,
Can't be touched but yet is so real.

His love and mercy,
Is genuine and timeless.
He is our constant companion,
Always there to lead and to guide us.

He is our teacher,
Our savior, our friend.
He wants us to be righteous,
So we may live in his presence again.

When we make mistakes,
And away we fall.
He is there to let us know,
He understands and loves us all.

He has felt our failure,
Our pain, our disappointments
He is proud of our talents,
Our joy and all of our accomplishments.

He gives us so much,
And in return, asks only,
To come home to him again
To live righteous, to be worthy.
