Each trial I've been given
is like a boulder that rolls into my way.
It's a rugged journey as I
lose my faith and go astray.
I tray to take the easy way
as I avoid the rugged rock not wanting to reach the top.
As I realize the path I'm
taking is going no where I come to a sudden stop.
I fall to my knees with
tears in my eyes asking what should I do.
You answer by saying my dear
child I have not forgotten you.
You lead me to green
pastures and sit my by a quiet peaceful stream.
You whisper here in peaceful
solitude may your faith redeem.
While resting we conversed
of the journey ahead.
I have faith in you is what
you said.
I asked can't you broaden
the narrow path and move the boulders from my way.
You said if I make the
journey easy when would you bow your head to pray.
Each day your growing
stronger and soon you'll understand.
The coarse designed though
tough at times your best it will demand.
As you climb each massive
rock remember I am here.
Seek my strength to help
you, I'll wipe away each tear.
Put a little trust in me as
you continue on your way.
I'll be there by your side,
I'll guide you every day.
And when your journey comes
to an end, how much stronger you will be.
To wear the wings I prepared
for you for all eternity.
