Whitherso-ever
I goest , I Pray Teach me. . .
Preach unto me repentance,
and faith on my elder brother;
Teach me to humble myself,
to be meek and lowly in heart;
Teach me to endure,
withstand, my every temptation, of that one in the dark,
Teach me of faith, in my
dear Lord Jesus Christ.
Teach me to never be
weary, of good works, to be meek and lowly in heart;
Teach me this and more,
for such shall give rest to my soul.
Teach me to remember
wisdom, teach me the commandments of thee God.
For yea, I cry unto my God
for all my support, yea let my doings be unto my Lord.
Whitherso-ever I goest let
it be in you Lord; yea let my thoughts be directed unto thee;
Yea, lift up my
affections, my heavy laden heart, as I place them unto thee, my
Lord forever.
I counsel with thee Lord,
in all my doings, as you direct me for good;
Yea, when I liest down
tonight, I lay down unto thee Lord.
That you may watch over me
in my sleep; and when I rise in the morning,
Let my heart be full of
thanks to you my God that I may be lifted up at my last day.
That I may be pointed to
that straight course to my eternal bliss,
Giving heed to my compass,
which points unto me the Promised Land?
