Pain I Caused Thee To Bare

Forgive me for pain I caused Thee to bare,
while in the garden at Gethsemane.

Bleeding from every pour in unfathomed pain,
kneeling at a rock beneath the tree.

Forgive me for pain I caused Thee to bare,
mocked and beaten from every side.
While carrying the cross to the top of the hill,
for vile torture Thou had to abide.

Forgive me for pain I caused Thee to bare,
while on that cross at Calvary.

Thou suffered bled and died for my sins,
in humility hung there in agony.

A ransom once paid of Thy innocent blood,
opened heavens gates allowing me in.

A sacrifice made possible a triumphant return,
to live with Heavenly Father once again.

Oh the debt that I owe unto Thee dear Lord,
is much more than a mortal can pay.
I’ll make a small deposit as I live my life,
worthy of Thy blessing throughout each day.

As I kneel here I envision Thy wounded hands,
gently caressing my tear soaked face.

Touching deeply my soul with radiant light,
filled with joy and Thy loving grace.

Behold The Lamb Is Come

Behold the Lamb, the messiah, the literal Son of God,
who bowed himself beneath, the tempters cunning rod.

Behold the Lord Jesus Christ, on earth he came to save,
man from sin by repentance, to avoid an eternal grave.

Behold the Prince of Peace, whose feet doth gently trod,
a straight narrow pathway upon, his glorious gospel sod.

Behold the loving Savior; twice freely he bled for me,
once was in the garden, then again, nailed upon the tree.

Behold the Wonderful Counselor; he’s always by my side,
with love he gives me hope and in him I always confide.

Behold the Shepherd's sure way, toward life’s spacious tree,
where He and God the Father dwelleth, together eternally.

Behold the King of Kings, from his royal courts on high,
Now upon his chariot of flame, ablaze across the sky.

Behold the Redeemer, my Master, my God and omnipotent King,
with the hosts of heaven he’s come again, as holy angels sing.

Behold the Great Jehovah, his throne he’s now come to claim,
He’s come to his earthly kingdom; forever he’ll rule and reign.

Behold the Creator is now standing, in the clouds above the earth,
as trumpets sound he rolls back the veil, revealing our spirits worth.

Behold the Deliverers angels, cleansing his footstool with consuming fire,
passing over those who have, pure and clean hearts of sincere desire.

Behold he looks over all his people, calling them out of the mighty flame,
Crowning eternal glories of heaven, to all those whom bare his name.

Standing In The Light

Let yesterday’s shadows now fade away,
find courage to do what is right.

Start today with Jesus a brand new life,
standing with him now in the light.

Lighten your burden with his forgiving grace,
feel the nail print in his hand.

Remember for you he suffered and died,
beside you he'll forever stand.

Let not your past over shadow your future,
it's never too late to start.

Kneel today and offer a prayer for strength,
let the Lord's love swell in your heart.

Walk, don't run on the straight and narrow,
keep the tree of life within your sight.

Follow the path that our Savior once paved,
you'll be standing in the glorious light.

In Humble Reverence Oh God

We approach in humble reverence Oh God,
kneeling submissive at Thy holy feet.

In humility we seek Thy forgiving grace,
we now come before Thy mercy seat.

We gather to commune with Thee Oh God,
with one voice sing unto Thee in praise.

Help us to find rest within Thy holy realm,
feeling the warmth of Thy glorious rays.

We come in repentance we seek Thy face,
Thy forgiving grace we now implore.

We commune with Thee this Sabbath day,
eternal glory shall be Thine ever more.

We approach in humble reverence oh God,
kneeling submissive at Thy holy feet.

In humility we seek Thy forgiving grace,
sanctified water and broken bread we now eat.

Send unto us Oh God Thine holy angles,
with wondrous healing within their wing.

Encircle us round about with the radiant light,
of our Omnipotent Savior our Lord and King.

Please help each of us along our mortal path,
be with us continually thought each day.
We desire to keep burning within our bosom,
Thy sublime holy spirit we now humbly pray.

Twas In The Garden

Twas in the garden He knelt to pray,
to commune with His Father above.
He bled from every pore for me,
each drop unconditional love.

To Calvary’s hill He walked for me,
mocked and beaten from every side.
Carried the cross to the top of the hill,
to be stripped, nailed and crucified.

A ransom for me He freely paid,
a burden only He could bare.
To free mankind of the sting of death,
his kingdom so willing to share.

For me he wore the thorny crown,
pierced hands and feet did abide.
Twas on the cross in agony He hung,
for my sins He freely died.

Holiness To The Lord

We leave all worldly cares behind,
quietly enter with voice subdued,
The sweet spirit within this holy realm,
will help us to feel renewed.

Worthily we may enter this sacred house,
of Jesus Christ our Lord,
Here we learn in symbolic fashion,
the everlasting and eternal word.

Holiness to the Lord are words,
engraved into the rock,
remind us how, on holy ground,
in humility we must walk.

Endowments from on high are glorious,
 blessings we may all receive,
if we take the time to do his will,
and in our Savior we fully believe.

All dressed in white we come to work,
for those who’ve gone before,
as sealing powers reach through the veil,
with eternal blessings evermore.

Holiness to the Lord are words,
engraved into the rock,
remind us how, on holy ground,
in humility we must walk.

The Lord He gives all truth to man,
He’s our master teacher from on high,
Eternal joy we gain within these walls,
if our sacred covenants we apply.

Come leave your worldly cares behind,
enter in the Lords holy home,
Come feel the spirit with in these walls,
eternal plans to you’ll be known.

Holiness to the Lord are words,
engraved into the rock,
remind us how, on holy ground,
in humility we must walk.

Where Everlasting Love and Eternal Joy Collide

My journey on earth is now over;
I'm going to a mansion beyond the sky.
To dwell with my Father in heaven,
It’s time I now close my mortal eye.

The veil is now quickly thinning;
I'm drawn toward the brilliant light.
Loving warmth enveloping my soul,
as I behold this wondrous sight.

I can see my heavenly Father,
seated upon his heavenly throne.
Approaching in great humility, knowing,
all I have done is eternally known.

Gazing upon his tender loving face,
omnipotent light piercing my inner soul.
My bosom’s burning with unceasing joy,
In His holy presence I humbly extol.

Stretched out loving hand toward me,
on bended knee I humbly bow.
As I’m blessed with a warm embrace,
I'm safely home with my Father now.

Remember me and know that I love you,
I am with you throughout each day.
Live your life for eternal rewards,
I will now help you along the way.

When your mortal journey is over,
I will greet you on the other side.
Together we’ll dwell with Father in heaven,
where everlasting love and eternal joy collide.

Like Lambs to the Slaughter

Like lambs on their way to slaughter,
without malice the brothers did go.

To face their false accusers,
their fate surely they did not know.

While in the jail at Carthage,
they knew their time had come.

An angry mob outside the jailhouse,
as prisoners  had nowhere to run.

Men soon rushed up the stairway,
firing guns right through the door.

The ball that struck poor Hyrum,
forced him back onto the floor.

Joseph comforted his dear brother,
I’m a dead man he exclaims.

As Hyrum’s spirit left his body,
guns blasting balls n’ spewing flames.

Joseph bolted to leap out a window,
to save the brethren left inside.

He was shot in the attempt exclaiming,
“Oh Lord my God” before he died.

Like lambs on their way to slaughter,
murdered in cold blood upon that day.

As brothers they restored the gospel,
paid the ultimate price that they could pay.

Now their testimonies forever are sealed,
of Jesus Christ in these latter-days.

Blood was shed of two innocent martyrs,
for their righteousness in their ways.

Helped mankind more save Jesus only,
In this world it has been said.

Eternal Crowns of Heavenly Glory,
now rest rightfully upon their head.

Waters Of Baptism

Into the waters of baptism,
in white from head to toe.

I enter in to begin a new life,
my sins are sure to go.

While standing in the water ,
his arm raised  to the square.

I close my eyes bow my head ,
He offer a sacred prayer.

Using his priesthood authority ,
I here him proclaim.

Commissioned of Jesus Christ,
to baptize in his name.

Sweet were the words he uttered,
 Father Son and Holy Ghost.

this saving ordinance was,
a blessing my soul needed most.

Immersed beneath the water,
a symbol of my mortal death.

My sins are gone I'm born again,
with new life a first new breath.

Hands are placed upon my head,
 in sacred confirmation.

The Holy Ghost is now my guide,
through all trials and temptation.

Oh glorious is a sacred ordinance,
 a blessing from heaven above.

Baptism is necessary for all to dwell,
with Jesus and our God of love.

Thy Kingdom Beyond The Veil

Sit with me beside still waters,
in the shade of life’s spacious tree.

Visit with me my sweet Savior,
teach me Lord to be like Thee.

Walk with me toward the mountain,
upon where Thou dwelleth on high.

Guide me with Thy light that shineth.
from Thy mansions beyond the sky.

Tis here I envision God the Father,
sitting upon his heavenly throne.

Tis here I’ll one day be welcomed,
where eternal joy can only be known.

Nailed upon that tree I envision Thee ,
I’d lighten Thy burden if I knew how.

I come seeking thy forgiving grace,
for my thorn that pierces Thy brow.

Oh be with me through my trials,
comfort my soul from deep within.

Strengthen me in my weakness,
forgive me should I sin again.

Hold tightly my hand Oh Jehovah,
within my heart Thy love doth swell.

I'm drawn nearer to Thee my Savior,
toward Thy Kingdom beyond the veil.

Mine Eye Single To Thy Glory

With mine eye single to Thy glory,
I'll let my light shine forth today.

I'll seek to find the troubled soul,
Lord, I'll help them on their way.

With mine eye single to Thy glory,
I'll walk humbly Thy pathway divine.

I'll spread Thy holy word oh Lord,
among all whom seek to find.

With mine eye single to Thy glory,
I'll bring  lost sheep into Thy fold.

I'll teach them of Thy gospel plan,
filled with promises of days of old.

With mine eye single to Thy glory,
my life devoted unto Thee till the end.

I pray when I come to heavens gates,
I hear Thee say enter thou in my friend.

Life’s Spacious Tree

Close by my side Lord,
I pray for thee to stay.

Walk with me as my guide,
while I am on my way.

Toward the tree of life Lord,
Oh walk there with me.

Shed Thy light on Thy path,
Lord it helps my soul to see.

Show for me the sure way,
 through my grief and strife.

So I will not stumble and fall,
 upon this path of life.

I pray that when I make it,
 to life’s spacious tree.

Thou will sit in its shade,
and visit a while with me.

Let Thy mysteries of heaven,
 and earth to me shown.

As the desires of my heart,
unto thee my King be known.

An Instrument In Thy Hand

Lord let thy holy spirit guide me,
to be an instrument in thy hand.

Help me find those who wonder lost,
help me to help them understand.

The time is short to find the path,
upon where their feet must trod.

Help me teach of thy gospel truth,
the tree of life and the iron rod.

Let me oh Lord now be thy disciple,
in the final days of this Thy earth.

An instrument in thy omnipotent hand,
testifying of thy atonement and thy birth.

Their hearts will fill up with gladness,
as they learn of thy glorious  plan.

Love will overflow within their heart,
desiring to be an instrument in thy hand.

Thy Light

Thy light fills the valley of sorrow,
Thy spirit comforts the faint of heart.

Be near those living in darkness,
please help the sinners sins depart.

Lift upward troubled souls of man,
so they will feel unconditional love.

Show them a similitude of eternal joy,
pour out blessings from up above.

Peace and hope settles in there heart,
feeling comfort of thy saving grace.

Bless those seeking Thee now in agony,
they may behold Thy wondrous face.

Thy light will grow in their bosom,
even brighter every day.

They will have a burning desire,
steadfast on pathways divine to stay.

Thy Saving Grace Divine

With gratitude unto Thee Oh Lord,
before Thy throne we come in humility.

With voices united and lifted in song,
unto Thee singing praise in unity.

We gather upon this Sabbath day,
worship in adoration of Thee our King.

We gather upon this Sabbath day,
contrite hearts we humbly bring.

In remembrance of Thy sanctified flesh,
Lord we eat the broken bread.

We press to our lips a cup of water,
remember why Thou suffered and bled.

We gather upon this Sabbath day,
for a glimpse from beyond the veil.

Nearer we are now to Thee oh Lord,
filed with love our hearts do swell.

In humility we thank Thee Oh Lord,
for Thy atoning sacrifice sublime.

We thank Thee for opening heavens gate,
With Thy saving grace divine.

“Oh Dear Lord Had I known”

Oh dear Lord had I even known,
I would have listened to my mom.

Had I known I’d have to eat my cookin,
Lord, I’d a helped her all along.

Oh dear Lord my whites are blue,
can you help me with my shirt.

All I did was throw my clothes in,
hoping to get out all the dirt.

Can you help me Lord to know Thy word,
I didn't take time to read your book.

I spent my days doing other things,
like puttin bait upon my hook.

While I'm on my knees dear Lord
can I say just one more thing?

Can you help me with that hole in my jacket,
oh! - and teach me how to sing.

Had I known what was required of me,
while out here on my mission.

I’d a spent my time cookin, sewin,
readin and singin instead of Goin Fishin.

“Oh Boy Now I Know”

Oh boy now I know why,
I should have taken extra time to learn,

simple things to survive out here,
I have reason for great concern.

I'm out here on my mission now,
in the service of my dear Lord,

I don't know how to cook,
with mac and cheese I'm getting board.

How my cloths are changing color,
whites turn blue I just don't know,

It seems I can only iron wrinkles in,
I don't even know how to sew.

I should have taken the extra time,
to study the standard work,

I should have paid attention in class,
scripture study I did shirk.

Now I'm here ill pay the price,
for not preparing for my mission,

Eating bad food a wrinkled blue shirt,
with a hole a disturbing vision.

If I had a chance to do it over,
I’d learn what I would need to know,

I'd learn to cook, my clothes I'd clean,
study scriptures and I'd sew.

LET A LITTLE SUNSHINE IN

Open up and let a little sunshine in,
Let him surround you with his love.

He bled, suffered and died for your sin,
a gracious gift to you from heaven above.

His light kindles within you a burning fire,
your bosom will swell with everlasting joy.

He will give unto you all your heart desire,
If his loving commands you’ll now employ.

His redeeming grace will lighten your path,
He will help you learn truth along the way.

He will Share with you all his father hath,
If you just let a little sunshine in every day.

Believe In Me

Believe in me and thou will dwell
with the Father as once before.

Believe in me and a crown of glories
will be thine for evermore.

Believe in me my light will shine
upon thy path throughout each day.

Believe in me with you I shall walk
to comfort you along the way.

Believe in me as I believe in you
stay true to my word until the end.

Believe in me and when I come to reign
I shall call you forth my friend.

An Angel Fell Out Of Heaven

An angel fell straight out of heaven,
a priceless gift sent from God to me.

This angel fell directly into my arms,
God’s love for his children I now see.

So beautifully innocent and so sweet,
is this little angel from heaven above.

I hold here in my arms a matchless gift,
a little bundle of unconditional love.

Those two little hands I will never forget,
around my neck tightly they would grasp.

Sometimes a wet kiss planted on my cheek,
melted within my heart forever it will last.

The tiny voice now etched within my heart,
that would discover new words each day.

I will keep in my minds eye the picture of,
the tug on my hand to go outside and play.

My little angel seems to be growing so fast,
how I want this little angel all my life long.

I wish time with my angel would never end,
soon my little angel will be grown and gone.

I will never forget the laughter and pure joy,
When I tossed my angel high up in the air.

Thanks dear God for my sweet little angel,
I have been blessed far beyond all compare.

The Royal Army

We’re in the royal army,
with armor shield and sward.
We’re here to defend the kingdom,
 of Jesus Christ our Lord.

We’ll battle for truth and justice,
standing for what is right.

We’ll defend the holy kingdom,
from morning throughout the night.

We’ll draw our sward for Zion,
against all that dare destroy.

We’ll fight a courageous battle,
all our might shall we deploy.

We’ll join together courageous,
to fight in this battle for liberty.
Defenders of the earthly kingdom,
it shall remain the land of the free.

We’re calling upon all patriots,
come together may we all unite.
Rally around for freedom keeping,
future generations futures bright.

Come join the Lord’s royal army,
fight defending all we know is true.

We’ll stop oppression and tyranny,
Unwavering for freedom in all we do.

We’re all in the royal army,
with armor shield and sward.
One day we’ll face our savior,
to receive our eternal reward.

Toward The Tree

Upon a shadowed path I must not trod,
for narrow is the way toward the tree.

Lord; I walk in thy light on gospel sod,
within Thy glorious light I now can see.

The iron rod will lead to where Thou art,
I must hold it tight to find victory sweet.

Even if the path I walk seems to fall apart,
or if it seems to crumble beneath my feet.

I must walk forward; steadfast I’ll press,
with Thee as my teacher and my guide.

Eternal glories upon me Thou will bless,
if with Thee Lord I never leave thy side.

Someday soon I know this path will end,
Let thy compass for me point the way.

For straight is the path it must not bend,
Help hold steady my course each day.

When I find the tree far down this path,
Lord; may I rest there a while with Thee.

Will Thou show me glories the Father hath,
will Thou sit there and talk a while with me.

I will find my way with thy loving grace,
when my mortal journey will soon end.

I hope to look upon Thy sweet loving face,
and hear Thee say, “Welcome home my friend.”

With Humble Heart

Before Thee I now kneel with humble heart,
Forgiveness I now seek, my sins to impart.

Hear me as I pray Lord unto Thee I implore,
may Thy light round me shine for evermore.

As I try harder to seek Thy sweet loving face,
I can feel the warmth of Thy loving embrace.

I can see in vision a path Thou desireth for me,
I can see the rod of iron that leads to the tree.

Beneath the narrow path is a great lake of fire,
holding tightly to the rod is my sincere desire.

Help me to overcome trials of grief and strife,
help me to move safely toward the tree of life.

I see the fruit thereon is so desirous to partake,
only if my transgressions unto thee I forsake.

Living my life to draw even nearer unto Thee,
to dwell in thy holy realms on high for eternity.

My Lord God almighty with Thee may I stay,
before Thee I kneel humbly unto Thee I pray.

Rise Up Ye Elders

Rise up ye elders time’s now at hand,
gather round the Heavenly banner divine.
Rise up be ready to preserve this land,
chosen above all for the end of time.

A banner now over us, which freely waves,
guarantees mankind freedom and liberty.
protects us from men who’s agenda enslaves,
Thankfully our forefathers had wisdom to see.

Our duty as Israel’s elders is crystal clear,
stand for truth and freedom in all that we do.
We’ll rally round with faith we will not fear,
our voices are strong and clear and true.

We’ll defend the banner with all our might;
let it not be trodden under any foe’s feet.
The threads will soon break if we do not fight,
in the battle for freedom we must never retreat.

Oh wake up ye elders the battle’s fiercely raging,
fight for freedom from oppression and tyranny.
The Prophets have shown the path to be taking;
we must keep this country the land of the free.

Please join with us now as we’re making history,
freedom is something we must be willing to earn.
Come ensure your seat at the table of sweet victory,
on the glorious day of our Lord’s triumphant return.

 I kneel

I kneel at the foot of heavenly Fathers throne,
bathed in His light filled with love and grace.

The veil now broken revels a realm once known,
oh how I have longed for His gentile embrace.

Outstretched arms in silence, they heel and bless,
I yearn for the caring touch of my Father’s hands.

In humility I bow before Him, my sins to confess,
comforting my soul, always beside me He stands.

His glory round about me shining ever so bright,
I kneel here at His holy throne, dare I ask for more.

Always nearby me lifting my yoke, He makes it light,
with sanctified gifts from on high, how can I ignore.

Christ the Lord His own son, as my Savior He sent,
to show me the sure way back to my eternal home.

Following closely His path will be time well spent,
with my Savior I am never left on this path alone.

In the garden sweet Jesus bled, to atone for my sin,
On Calvary’s hill He hung in agony, to die for me.

He opened heavens gates to invite His disciples in,
where eternal glories are Lord, I pray one day to be.

No, No I will kneel here, I’ll praise and adore Him,
My God the eternal Father, the supreme and divine.

I will give unto Him in covenant, my life free of sin,
I will praise to His sacred name throughout all time.

Sacred Emblems

Of these sacred emblems we now partake,
because Thou suffered bled and died for man.

In remembrance of Thy body this bread we break,
pledge unto Thee Lord to follow Thy gospel plan.

Unblemished blood was shed redemption complete;
we now partake of this water pure and sanctified.

We seek Thy throne Lord to kneel at Thy feet,
in humble gratitude, for us Thou was crucified.

A redeeming sacrifice as a gift of Thy pure love,
a marvelous work a glorious wonder divine.

With joy we raise our voice toward heaven above,
May Thy presence with us Lord forever entwine.

For Thou art our Christ unto Thee we give praise,
seeking Thy comfort from holy realms on high.

May we feel the warmth of Thy pure loving rays,
walking in Thy light with thee Lord by and by.

Robert D. Talbot  © 2/2/05

With Open Arms

With open arms He will let you come in,
on the cross for you He was crucified.

That we may be washed free of our sin,
on the cross for you He bled and died.

He will comfort you if you seek his face,
His love will fill your heart to overflow.

In His presents you’ll feel His righteous grace,
walk with Him and happiness begin to know.

He will pick you up if you begin to fall,
if from His path your footsteps begin to tread.

Put your trust in Him who gave us His all,
for you He was nailed to the cross and bled.

He loves us all with unconditional love,
He came to earth to show us all the way.

If we will but listen to the Holy Spirit above,
through heavens gates were invited to stay.

Hold onto the hand of Jesus Christ the Lord,
walk with Him close on His pathways divine.

Follow in His footsteps where joy is assured,
seek His forgiving grace while you still have time.

The Supper Table

The gathering around the supper table,
was a solemn assembly of saints divine.
Listening intently to the Lord as He teaches
of his Father’s plans supreme design.

The holy gathering was somewhat somber,
as Jesus tells of things shortly to come.
Assuring his disciples of a return triumphant,
the sting of death He shall not succumb.

Slowly He broke the bread and asked them,
to eat remembering His flesh throughout time.
They ate and listened to His heavenly counsel,
as He filled his cup from challis of wine.

It needs be that my blood shall soon be shed,
drink remembering that I have done this for you.
For mankind I will allow them to take my life,
on the third day I shall return unto thee anew.

To the garden He went to pray that evening,
kneeling at a rock near the great olive tree.
He bled from every pour in unfathomed pain,
taking upon Him the sins of you and of me.

With sweet majestic grace He willfully suffered,
far beyond anyone could withstand or compare.
Opening heavens gates He showed us the way
toward crowns of glory with our Father to share.

Thy Sweet Holy Face

Oh Lord I now seek Thy sweet holy face,
from Thy pathway divine I wandered astray.

Help me find my way back to Thy loving grace,
I need thee now sweet Lord I humbly pray.

Comfort me when I’m feeling down and blue,
Thy pure light will brighten any darkened day.

I’ll drink from living waters for me Thou drew,
I’ll take Thee with me as I travel on my way.

If I am tempted Lord please stay my weak hand,
from Thee Lord I must not stray once more.

Be with me where ever I go across this land,
may Thy radiant light round me shine evermore.

Oh Lord I now seek Thy sweet loving embrace,
hold back evil tides raging furious upon the earth.

With my eye single to Thy glory I’ll set my pace,
giving grateful praise for Thy sweet humble birth.

On bended knee with all my heart I now pray,
for forgiveness of sin and offence unto thee.

I beg for Thy loving grace divine on this day,
I know thy atonement was freely given for me.
