She sits all alone

A face in the crowd

In a place full of darkness

Where she's not allowed

They come to a fro

giving gales of good laughter

she wants to be with them,

but she's not what they're after

Then a smile comes gladly along,

picks her up gently and carries her

home,

to a place without darkness,

no temptations or fear,

a place full of love, sweet gladness

and cheer.

Growing Up

One day you're here, playing away,

painting with paints and laughing the day.

The next you are gone, alone and confused

you thought you had friends, but you were just used.

Then the day comes and you turn around

you see yourself in a big fluffy cloud,

you laugh as you see a parade in the sky,

and you notice how quickly are the days passing by

You hurry home and open the door

there is your brother, right on the floor.

Painting with paints and laughing away

you smile as you hear him say,

"come play with me sister,

just a little while"

As you sit down you see his big smile

Growing up is so hard, as you very well know,

but to play as a child, just for fun when you're grown,

It's the best thing on earth!

No competition at all

oh wouldn't it be wonderful, if inside

we were still small?
