THE RESTORATION OF THE
AARONIC PRIESTHOOD
“Upon you my fellow
servants”
John the Baptist said
As he laid his hands upon
The two good men’s heads
And gave to them a
Priesthood
Filled with eternal power
For the Gospel was to be
restored
And now was the appointed
hour
That angels of God might
minister
Unto them day and night
That they might know the
truth
And guide others to the
light
The gospel of baptism
And repentance of our sins
That all who follow in this
path
May one day enter in
Our Father’s Holy
Priesthood
Upon the earth again
That the Gospel might roll
forth
A gift to all good men
Faithful Saints
With Faith in every footstep
The Saints of old did flee
Into the unknown west
To a place they could be
free
Free from persecution
And oppression’s heavy
hand
To the Rocky Mountains
To a promised land
A land where they could
worship God
In their own pure way
A land where their children
Without fear could grow and
play
To the Salt Lake valley far
away in the West Looking back we plainly see these Saints of old were
blessed Now in this lovely valley ‘Midst the mountains oh so high Where
the clear streams flow and blue is the sky We look back on those who’ve
gone before And thank the Lord above For surely he did lead them here In
goodness and in love
I BELIEVE IN CHRIST
I believe in Christ
A very simple phrase
Yet herein lies the answers
To life’s most desperate days
He paid the price of pain and sin
And bid us all to enter in
That when we leave this world of strife
That we might have Eternal Life
I believe in Christ
What joy this phrase doth bring
The answer to our prayers
To urge our soul to sing
All things he suffered just for us
On Calvary’s hill he died
For all of us who live on Earth and overcome our pride
I believe in Christ
Such words of joy and love
Lead us to return
To his royal courts above
To live in exaltation
In celestial worlds abound
That all as a family
We will gather round
Yet oft we ask the question
What is required of me?
A still, small voice answers
Come Follow me
