Nauvoo Temple Committee

Dee Jay Bawden created beautifully detailed rendition of the Nauvoo Temple committee discussing the building of the Nauvoo Temple as Joseph Smith, Hyrum Smith and Brigham Young look over the blue prints. In the foreground, a stone mason carves out the sunstone that will adorn the columns on the temple.  The sunstone  design represents the Celestial Kingdom, which the Lord compared to the glory of the sun in a revelation to Joseph Smith (see Doctrine and Covenants 76:70, compare 1 Corinthians 15:40-42). The original was a two-piece, 2.5 ton limestone carvings that adorned the columns of the Nauvoo Temple.

This is a must have art piece for any fine art collector.

Standing 21" tall and only 50 to be cast in bronze.
