beautifully detailed replica of the sunstone. It's design represents the
Celestial Kingdom, which the Lord compared to the glory of the sun in a
revelation to Joseph Smith (see Doctrine and Covenants 76:70, compare 1
Corinthians 15:40-42). The original was a two-piece, 2.5 ton limestone
carvings that adorned the columns of the Nauvoo Temple. The center sun carving
has been replaced with the face of the Savior, the light of the world.
This wonderful
conversation piece will look great on any desk or bookcase.
